Paradigm is a software company transforming the way that the residential, construction & building product industries operate across the globe. We are looking for a Residential VDC Standards Specialist to be part of revolutionizing these industries.

In this role, you will transform, standardize, and manage 3D modeling guidelines and manage the implementation of residential industry digital design standards, which define specific ways to use Revit and other technologies for the design and construction of single-family homes in the United States. Paradigm’s internal teams, software tools, customers, and partners use these Guidelines to increase the interoperability of 3D models.

The ideal candidate must have a strong understanding of and extensive experience in implementing and utilizing AEC industry-specific modeling requirements, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with modelers and technicians to deliver 3D models that meet customers’ needs.

What You Will Do:

  • You will oversee the adoption and application of innovative workflows within Revit and Paradigm technology, ensuring seamless model integration into the 3D workflow to enhance project efficiency and interoperability.
  • You will collaborate with cross-functional development teams to ensure alignment on priorities, facilitate timely involvement of key stakeholders, and maintain synchronized roadmaps and issue resolution processes.
  • You will lead the creation, delivery, and ongoing enhancement of training materials, ensuring they remain up-to-date and aligned with organizational needs. Collaborating closely with internal Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), you will gather insights, validate content accuracy, and integrate real-world applications to enrich the learning experience.
  • You will develop and maintain a curated selection of prebuilt, ready-to-deploy models, offering internal stakeholders efficient, standardized solutions.
  • You will work with the Product Ops team to ensure the 3D operation has tools to validate the accuracy of models, streamline model creation, etc. This includes implementing enhancements to other aspects of the ecosystem (such as cruncher or post-crunch) to eliminate modeling steps.
  • You will develop and implement a comprehensive scorecard framework for new guidelines, which will be used to evaluate the balance between implementation effort, ongoing ownership costs, and anticipated organizational benefits. This will involve defining clear metrics, assigning appropriate weights, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.

What You Need to Succeed:

  • You have 4+ years of education or experience in the residential design and construction industry, preferably as a BIM or VDC Manager or Coordinator.
  • You are highly proficient with Autodesk’s AEC Collection including Revit, AutoCAD, Construction Cloud, ABC Pro, Dynamo, Platform Services. Some experience with other design software packages such as Grasshopper, Rhino, and Sketchup will be beneficial.
  • You are an Autodesk Revit super-user with prior experience in developing models for producing and publishing construction drawings from schematic to construction document phases.
